Dirk Hoogestraat
Originally from Phoenix Arizona. There I did my apprenticeship and worked for a few years. 2006 that same shop asked if I would move to Lawrence Kansas where they had a couple of shops to run one of them. In 2011 I moved back to AZ for my fiancé at the time. By 2016 I was now fiancé-less and missed the Midwest so I once again moved back to KC and feel I’m here for good. I’ve been at home here at Classic Tattoo since July of 2021 and couldn’t be happier! I’ve been tattooing for 20 years now (Half of my life!) so I feel very comfortable doing almost any style of work except for photorealism, my brain just doesn’t work that way. I guess if I had to pick a specialty, people mostly come to me for my script/lettering and for my floral work. I’m a stickler for clean line work and having a good time while I work!
